Glossary

Our glossary is in development and is applicable for the latest ERP API version.

Base Supply for batch

  • describes the price of a specific batch for a particular period of time.
  • is used as the base-price for calculating prices for customer-specific supply-lines, using price groups.
  • the available number of pieces is specified by the batch.

Base Supply for trade item

  • describes the price and available number of pieces of a trade item for a particular period of time.
  • is used as the base-price for calculating prices for customer-specific supply-lines, using price groups.
  • base-supply for trade items is used in combination with continuous stock.

Batch

  • a specific number of pieces ( stock-part ) of a trade item at a specific warehouse.
  • when combined with supply-lines, the batch is used for stocklevel management (supply availability) in sales.
  • can be transported to other warehouses or external (customer) locations.
  • has one specific packing configuration.

Continuous Stock

  • defines whether a trade-item is available for sale or not (toggle).
  • can be used at any moment to manipulate the availability of all supply associated with the trade item.
  • is used for stock-level management without specific batches ( batches and continuous stock are mutually exclusive ).

Delivery Conditions

  • are associated with one or more warehouses.
  • all sales orders are subject to the locations, times and prices specified in the delivery conditions.

Delivery Order

  • describes the transport requirements ( delivery date / despatch location / destination ) of one or more fulfillment requests.

Fulfillment Order

  • the transport specification: describes the stacking of each loadcarrier in a delivery of goods.
  • the fulfillment order is typically the result of a delivery order.
  • the fulfillment order data is used to produce logistic labels like SSCC labels and delivery notes.

Fulfillment Request

  • the number of items of a batch designated for transport.

Logistic Label

  • the physical (paper) labels used in transportation to specify the contents of a goods movement, like SSCC labels and delivery notes.

Organization

  • the registration of a company.
  • is typed, e.g. supplier, customer, service provider

Packing Configuration

  • describes a way of packing and stacking for a trade item.

Price Group

  • describes the discount or surcharge for a group of customers, in relation to the base-price set in the base-supply.
  • is used to generate customer-specific supply-lines from base-supply.
  • a price group is specific for one or more sales channels.

Sales Channel

  • Platform for customers to buy trade items.

Sales Order

  • the agreement between customer and supplier for the sale of a trade item.
  • is associated with a specific supply-line.
  • is subject to delivery conditions.
  • has a packing configuration, selected from the options of the trade item.

Supply Line

  • the - optionally, customer-specific - supply that is available to customers in a sales-channel.
  • has optionally one or more packing configurations. NB if no packing-configurations are specified, all packing-configurations of the trade-item apply.

Trade Item

  • specifies the attributes of a good for sale.
  • has one or more packing configurations.

Warehouse

  • a location for stock keeping.
  • is either a supplier-owned location or an external location owned by others ( like RFH ).
  • can have location specific services, like external stockkeeping.
  • has a specific set of delivery conditions.
